We’re Looking For Associates To Join Our Team!

We’re looking for associates to join our team!

Nova Fundraising is urgently looking for NEW ASSOCIATES with two priority skill sets. Firstly, a Trust and Grant Fundraising freelancer to join our associate team, and secondly, an Individual Giving / Digital Fundraising specialist.  Together we will support small charities to do great fundraising.

Background

Nova Fundraising was established in 2017. It is a fundraising consultancy specialising in fundraising strategy and implementation for small charities, especially those starting up their fundraising functions from scratch. Emma-Louise Singh and Emma Low have a long history of working together and are known for their practical and effective fundraising guidance for small charities looking to achieve growth.

Trusts Associate

Are you an experienced trust and grant fundraiser and have you built income portfolios from scratch? Do you have an interest in helping small charities achieve great fundraising? And could you help build systems, applications and relationship plans with grant funders that will help small charities develop sustainable programmes of income?  If so we would love to hear from you!

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to freelancing, or very seasoned!  (We are happy to support those of you who are just starting out!) Our simple ask is that you can demonstrate a track record of success in fundraising from trusts and foundations. We are also keen to have associates who are hands-on and willing to get stuck into all areas of trusts and foundations fundraising, including: proposal writing; prospect research; report writing; project development – working with small charity teams; providing budget-building support and funder stewardship.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have experience working within the following sectors:

  • Social Welfare eg homelessness & domestic abuse
  • Health/ medical research
  • Disability (specifically learning disabilities/ neurodiversity)
  • Children and young people
  • Education
  • Membership bodies/ infrastructure groups
  • Older people
  • International Development
  • Environment
  • Animal welfare

Individual Giving / Digital Associate

Are you an experienced fundraiser in individual giving and digital fundraising? Do you have an interest in helping small charities achieve great fundraising? And could you help build systems, communications and campaigns that will help small charities develop sustainable programmes of individual givers?  If so we would love to hear from you!

Nova Fundraising are seeking experienced fundraisers, who have a proven track record of fundraising through any of the following individual giving tactics:

  • Appeals
  • Regular giving
  • Legacies
  • In memory
  • Facebook Fundraising
  • Integrating Digital Platforms and Fundraising Online

Associates are needed who can advise Nova Fundraising clients on individual giving techniques and strategy, as well as practically delivering and implementing activities relating to individual giving. This may cover: donor stewardship; appeal writing; data analysis; developing CRM queries and reports to inform and grow giving; advising on online donation platforms; creating and managing campaigns; thanking; liaising with donors and developing fundraising collateral.

Working Environment and Terms

Having insight or experience of working with or for a small charity (income of less than £1 million), would be an advantage, but as mentioned, Nova Fundraising would be happy to provide support and development as required.

We offer our associates a minimum standard day rate of £250 per day but this can be higher for freelancers with specific track records that match client needs. Likely up to a ceiling of £400 per day.

If you like the sound of what Nova Fundraising does, and if you are interested in bringing your skills to help small charities do fabulous fundraising, please get in touch with your CV or similar document outlining your relevant achievements and experience to hello@novafundraising.co.uk . We will then short list interested applicants and arrange a follow up call with Emma-Louise Singh and Emma Low, so we can learn more about you and just as importantly – you can learn more about us and our wonderful small charity clients.

This is a home-based role, with virtual meetings. However, at Nova Fundraising, we understand the importance of connection and feeling part of a team and strive to achieve this with our associate team.

All associates will be expected to be self-employed and responsible for their own tax and business arrangements.

If you would like to arrange to have a chat with us first – then please email hello@novafundraising.co.uk

“I joined Nova Fundraising three years ago as one of their very first Fundraising Associates and I would highly recommend them to anybody thinking about becoming an Associate.  Throughout my time with Nova I have always felt part of the team and Emma-Louise and Emma are always there to provide me with support and encouragement.  After many years of being a sole fundraiser in a small charity it has been wonderful to be part of a team again and to be able to share the highs and lows of fundraising!” – Vicki Hone, Trusts and Foundations Associate
